New Outlet Installation

If you’re running extension cords across rooms or using power strips on every wall, you need more outlets. We add new outlets wherever you need them — home offices, kitchens, garages, workshops, outdoor areas, and anywhere else you’re short on power.

We run new circuits from your panel, fish wire through walls, and install code-compliant outlets without tearing up your house. If you’re finishing a basement or adding a home office, we’ll design the outlet layout so you have power where you actually need it.

Two-Prong to Three-Prong Upgrades

A lot of homes in Saco and Biddeford still have old two-prong ungrounded outlets. These don’t accept modern three-prong plugs, and more importantly, they have no ground wire — which means there’s no protection if a device shorts out.

We upgrade two-prong outlets to grounded three-prong outlets. If the wiring allows, we run a ground wire back to the panel. If not, we install GFCI-protected outlets that provide shock protection even without a ground wire, which is allowed by code.

GFCI & Specialty Outlets

GFCI outlets are required by code in bathrooms, kitchens, garages, outdoor areas, and anywhere near water. They detect ground faults and cut power in milliseconds to prevent electrocution. If your home doesn’t have GFCI protection in these areas, it’s a safety hazard and a code violation.

We also install USB outlets, 240-volt outlets for appliances, outdoor weatherproof outlets, tamper-resistant outlets (required by code in homes with children), and dedicated circuits for home offices and workshops.
