Level 2 Home EV Charger Installation
A Level 2 charger runs on a dedicated 240-volt, 40-to-50-amp circuit — the same kind of circuit your dryer or oven uses. It charges most EVs from empty to full in 6-10 hours, which means you plug in when you get home and wake up with a full battery. We work with all the major brands — Tesla Wall Connector, ChargePoint, JuiceBox, Emporia, Grizzl-E, and more.
Most residential EV charger installations in the Saco area take us about half a day. If your panel already has room for a 50-amp breaker and is 200 amps, its a straight forward install. If you need a panel upgrade first, we do both at the same time.
Do I Need a Panel Upgrade for an EV Charger?
This is the number one question we get. If your home has a 200-amp panel with available breaker space, you probly dont need an upgrade. If your on a 100-amp panel — which alot of older homes in Saco and Biddeford still have — youll almost certainly need a panel upgrade before we can add a 50-amp EV circuit. We come out, look at your panel, and give you an honest answer before any work starts.
